Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share my new car purchase with you all. Recently traded in my 6 (4 yrs on that one, 5 yrs overall) for a White Mazdaspeed3 Sport. I was looking for a smaller car, that was fun, had better utility, and under 22k. Pretty much one of the only cars that does that!

I gave the speed6 a good long try (friend Kyu owns one, and has let me drive it a lot, as well as driving some modified speed6's), but it just didn't fit me. I always felt it was less responsive then my 6s, and I couldn't get over the hefty feel as you sent it around corners. It was more of a GT car then what I was looking for.

So far I've got it tinted (35% all around, max legal in MD), put some lamin-x yellow fog protectors on the bottom lights, and replaced the interior lighting with hyperwhite led's. I've also got some HID's on order from RPM...basically hitting up all the non performance related mods first...haven't even hit the 1k oil change yet!

Upcoming mods though...will be
17x8 Grey Kosei K1-TS with RT615's (Stupid heavy 18's that come on this car...WTF mazda!...drops 40+ lbs off the car!)
CP-E Engine mount
CP-E Intake
Carbotech Brake Pads
TMW Shifter Bushings (2-3 is hit or miss in this car!)
Forge Motorsports OEM BOV (100% recirc)

Later (once the miles pour on)
CP-E DP
CP-E FMIC
CP-E Fuel Pump (and probably their hybrid standback)

Anything off the old car that doesn't get sold in the regional section, I'll post up in Buy/sell with photos and more information! So keep an eye out!
Don't worry though, I'll still be around now and then. Just send me a pm if you need something!

did the dirty wheels come with it?? :P

LOL j/k

nice find. I'd always seem to lean toward the wagon 3 vs the sedan models. With mods that thing will be a beast!

PS: Oh yeah! what happened to Bryan! You had him neutered didn't ya.

congrats...I love it in white. I'm surprised it wasn't one of the first colors available.

I have some decent time behind the wheel of my buddy's Cosmic Blue Sport...what a blast.

I've been seriously toying with the idea of making the same move since I can't find a Speed6 around here...Though if I do, I'll wait until the end of the model year to get some of those crazy good deals...How does the FWD hold up with the turbo?

If its raining, don't floor it.

Car is great once moving, not so great from low speeds. It's a blast at track velocities. (My fav thing to do)

Congrats, I just sold a GT three weeks ago, the first in Ohio! I am not a big fan of White cars, but this is the exception!

Congrats on the ride man!! I just rolled 30k on mine today! If you're gonna do the bushings, might as well get the short shifter too.
