GM and Honda To Co-Develop Fuel Cell Vehicles

Honda and General Motors have announced a joint venture project to bring fuel cell equipped vehicles to mass market. The 2 automakers will be tooling a plant in Michigan to begin mass production of FCVs, though a timeline for actual production has not been named. Honda has been in the FCV arena for several years now with their Clarity FCV model that has been sold exclusively in Southern California. While California plans to have a statewide hydrogen refueling network by 2020, it is unclear how or even if such an infrastructure will spread beyond the state.
