What will you replace your Mazda6 with?

Hey guys just curious where guys are going next. I've had my 2011 Mazda6 for about a year and a half. Its a nice ride, loaded up, Canadian GT model with the 2.5 and 6speed MTX.

Its never quite had the jam that Ive wanted, but other wise its been good on gas and handles nicely. Without much or really any of an aftermarket Ive never really considered modding it for more power. An SRI and exhaust wont do to much IMO. (If mazda made this car with the same engine producing 200-210hp I'd probably keep it for a very long time)

I think in the spring I will be looking at an Acura iLX Dynamic with the 2.4L and the 6speed manual or...... gasp.... a used 2012 Civic Si sedan... I have noticed I can pick one of these up with low miles for about $20k (canadian) in my area which is a great deal IMO.

Let me know what you guys are looking at! I kinda need a practical car thats fun to drive.....( otherwise I would love a new Genesis R-spec 2.0T coupe.... but thats not likely to happen...)

*and I drove the iLX 2.4L 6-speed and it was a hoot to drive! Very fun. I wish my 6 had that extra jam.

Well since I am only 18 after my 06 M6 dies on me I will probably either get a Acura RSX or a Lancer or another M6, really depends on my budget!

I've been holding back and not spending a single dime on my car for about 6 months now. I'm at the point where I'm hoping the problems I've been putting off don't cause a major issue before I can get rid of it.

I'm waiting for the 2014, and every penny I don't spend on my current 6 I can put towards a Diesel MTX mmmmmmmm

Would be sweet it you have one by the mountian climb. You would likely be the only 3rd gen among us. I will be super jealous of you sir.

I don't think I would shell out for a 2014 diesel. I'd prefer to buy something 1yr old so that someone else can pay the depreciation for me.
I read the deisel will have a 0-60 time of 8.2 seconds... No thanks. And not for $30k.(cdn)

Yeah very good points. But I've been running my car on hopes and dreams at this point lol. Lots of suspension problems. I'd love if it stayed alive until the climb, but I doubt it.

Yeah I'm not interested in the diesel for the speed, I'm in it for the looks of it, the mpg since my commute is so long, and the upgrades of a nice new car

Depends. If they give us an AWD Speed6, or give the Speed3 the AWD platform. I'll buy either one of those.

The new 6's will need major incentives to get me to buy one. I love the interior on my car and the premium sound but that's not enough. I need speed, ya dig?

Probably a lightly used WRX Sti (that powertrain) or 370z (not awd but i've wanted a z since i was a kid)
