Does the coupe still have a 67/43 weight distribution ratio? Haha

The sedan is instantly forgettable and the coupe isn't anything special. And look at the tires on the sedan! 215/65/16? That is the model you'll see most of and I don't get the attraction. It is sad that this nasty ass boat of a car will, by itself, completely outsell Mazda's entire lineup.

They did give the coupe one thing it sorely needed....decent wheels. Nissan has to be the reigning champ on re-designing grilles. Isn't that the third new grille for this body?

Technically, it's the second new grille for both the sedan and coupe, and the coupe grille was different from the sedans when it was first introduced.

Compared to my '07, there isn't much of a difference, but IMO the sedan looks more like the last-gen Maxima.

At least they didn't stick them with the pathetic L-shaped lights that Nissan seems to like these days...

It looks to me that they actually lost some character.

I also think that Biz'z numbers adding up to 110% is appropriate considering that these cars are fat pigs.

No worse than the new 6....

When you add all the gizmos like touch start, bluetooth, homelink, etc. it's going to add weight.

And the Altima's new front does look like the last generation Maxima. The Altima, in this area anyway, is the ghetto cruiser choice next to the Charger.

Eh... these cars have been boring me for the past few years now. They just don't seem fun to drive at all. However, I did spot a beautiful, blue, discounted 2009 Nissan 370Z six-speed at a local dealership. If I could afford a $600+ car payment and the increased insurance costs, I'd give it a shot. All the Altima sedans and coupes just looked like lame ducks sitting around in masses on the lot. That, and, the ugly Versas. I don't think I saw any new Sentras on the lot at all. Just a couple used 2007+ ones and some older models...

It was 5:30am and I couldn't go to sleep. Surely a simple error in math is allowed at those times, you bastard.

Nissan sold 269k Altimas in 2008 alone, so expect whatever changes they make to be a surefire hit with a bunch of idiots.

Apparently, according to more than one Nissan forum, they've pulled the MTX from ALL sedans, including any 4-cylinder and the 3.5 SR (formerly the 3.5 SE). You're now stuck with the CVT.

This begs the question: What's the difference between the Maxima and the 3.5 SR if you can only get the CVT for both of them?

WTF was Nissan thinking?

Wow, that's fucked up!

CVT sucks the life out of an engine (think ATX drivetrain loss...plus another 5-10%) and those things do NOT get repaired, just replaced. Considering how lazy the mid-sized sedan segment has become, it isn't too surprising.
