doubt that car was actually on the road...
from the looks of the caliper.. this car was probably sittin for a good while..

i've heard/seen some pretty dumb brake stuff....but this is pretty out there

Given it was on the rear and doing less than 20% of the total braking, its entirely possible it was driven. Hell I've driven a Chevy Celebrity into the bay that was only stopping on the vents, ON THE FRONT.

That's the lightest brake kit available. Not only doesn't it have the rotor to weigh it down, corrosion has been allowed to run it's course and further the weight loss gains.

The caliper must have stuck or something. Look at the brake disk on the other side of the car:


Regardless, there is still some sort of major fail going on there.

When I lived in Seattle I was waiting to pull from a side street. What crosses in front of me? T-bird with smoke rolling out of the rear fenders. Old fart had the parking brake on......

My co-worker drove her Saturn 23 miles on the highway with the parking brake on. She burned up the rear brakes and the brake fluid. How the hell do you do that?!?!?!?

Well she's a fucking moron so I could honestly see it happening... but come on, seriously?? My car won't even move with the E brake on...
