I looked at a lot of cars from supercharged mustangs to lincoln continentals. I had narrowed it down to an eclipse/talon awd - 4g63 or an LT1 Fbody for best bang for the buck. I ended up going with this 95 Firebird Formula, six speed. it has long tubes, y pipe, borla exhaust, cai, suspension goodies, new z06 replica wheels, new tires -- all blacked out. Its a HOOT to drive! 113k miles dyno tuned at baker engineering 276whp/302tq

$4200, will have it paid off in about 6-7 months -- then might do heads/cam. It has a lot of small issues, faded paint, some rust underneath, lazy power windows, popup headlights grind when going down -- but to be expected when you buy American.

Stay tuned for a HD video clip of the electric cut out open at WOT :-)

You can buy an aluminum gear for the headlights. The stock ones are plastic and they break. There is no limit switch in the lights, the motors shut off when the amperage builds up from the headlight hitting its limits, so the gears get a lot of stress.

If you say so, I own a mazdaspeed 6 and I only post in the mazdaspeed forums. In my opinion Mazda 6 and mazdaspeed 6 should have seperate forums. Not only that, different people buy the speed 6 then the regular 6. I come here to converse/post with other speed 6 owners about cars in general.

Im not looking to shout I bought an fbody from the top of the mountain, this is just a follow up thread to the previous one i made "shopping for a new clunker" Im giving my girlfriend the speed 6, and ill drive the fbody to and from work.... or to the race track :-)

No one noticed the mazdaspeed 3 behind my Fbomb. :-)
