Q on ordring Mazda 6 Key Fob from China.

Hi new guy here..

I've had both my key fob's broken.. First one I washed with my clothes.. Total face palm moment. Second one just stopped working one day.

So I've been googling a lot around to figure out what the right way is to order one from China. And I think I've got things right, but will have to wait for the fob to arrive. My question is. Is it enough to order a key fob with the right Visteon number in order to get one that works? I've ordered that and also a frequency tester to make sure that I can verify its frequency when I get it from China.

My key is a two button Visteon 41521 based on what it said in its casing. And I ordered this one from ebay fitting that exact description.

Any input and thoughts are welcome. I think I'm on the right track.

Uhh the keyfob u will get - the programing u won't.

Programming is done by your mazda dealer to "bind" that remote to your ECU.

However u probably saved a couple bugs with the "third party" keyfob.

When you say "bind", do you mean the paring that one can do with the locks and door tricks etc? Or are we talking actual flashing of the FOB?

flashing of the fob... I don't believe that the FOB have any firmware on them.. so they are all blanks. But I could be wrong.

Right, that's what I thought. I guess time will tell once it arrives. If it doesn't work I'll use its housing for parts and get a used key on eBay as donor. Seems like the safest bet if this all ends up costing $$'s for nothing

So it finally arrived. An uncut key for my car with correct number and all. I set the car in pairing mode and clicked the lock key twice on the remote and presto! So turns out this 30GBP key I found was the perfect match for my car! Thanks you Ebay for providing a nice cheap service once again \o/

What sync process did you use?

With driver door open:
On/Off x3, door open/close x3, click open door x2, remove key?
