Hi, Been looking on here for info to try to identify problem i am having with my 2010 Mazda 6 GT with Bose. Amp crackles, pops and all audio stops working. Found my amp (not under seat as so many previous threads indicated) behind and to right of glove box. Does anyone know of company that will repair? (beside one company i found on EBAY... "Paulison Corp"... charges $250 flat + s/h) Calling Bose was useless. Or does anybody have one they removed to upgrade there system that is willing to sell? Amp is #9M81 18T806 BB. Also, 5-digit # under bar-code area of label on back is M1PDG.
Thanks for any help!! Tim
I have the same issue.. also got crickets on my post.. so what did you end up doing? replacing w/ aftermarket or find a used one.. I came up with a big zero on used ones but hate to drop 5-600 on an amp..
Exact same problem here. Took it apart and have great pictures of the board, but no love for parts search and it looks like a more integrated IC repair. All the caps appear well. Most of the hardware is actually pretty good quality. I would appreciate any advice you guys have to offer at this point.
If you're going to be spending that much to simply repair a stock system, you may consider looking for an aftermarket solution. Check crutchfeild to see what will work with the Bose head unit. They'll have a set of adapters and such that will be compatible with it
