Default Fog lights and housing

Silly question, my car currently looks like this Fog lights and housing-imageuploadedbyag-free1358789186.105362.jpg and I want to add some xenon HID fog lights to my 07 Mazda 6. But I'm pretty sure the housing isn't included in a standard fog light kit, am I wrong for thinking that? Thanks in advance

@justsomeguy if I cut it out, is there anything else I'll need to hold up the lights?

One advantage to getting an OEM kit over modding your existing mesh is adjustability. OEM fog housings can be adjusted and aimed. If you want them just for looks modding your mesh is good but for functionality OEM is better. IIRC OEM fogs can be kind of expensive but for the 06-08 they come pre wired which will save you some time and money. Then you can get a HID kit from your choice HID dealer.

That's a great point, this might sound like a bit funny but bare with me, if I get a HID kit for Xenon that doesn't include the housing do you think I could take the kit to the dealership and say "hey you guys don't have the part I've been asking for (because I've been asking them about HIDs fog light kits and they never have them) can you guys install these with your OEM housing?

You can do that but an HID retro fit for fogs shouldn't be too hard. I'm not sure how comfortable you are around a car/ electrical but since it says your in Boston you can come by to a mod meet if you need some help. Or just message either @DisplacedMainah @legacy4life as they are comfortable with mods/ electrial and in your area.

Thanks a lot I might actually come out for that, it's only about an hour out and it sounds like a good chance to learn a bit from some ppl who are familiar with mazdas.
