Rice is cheap modifications that look bad. Dip is the epitome of a cheap alternative to a proper modification. Don't get your panties in a bunch, I'm not insulting your mom, I'm just saying that plasti-dip is a very easy way to go from nice to rice.

I used dip on my mirror backings and grille as a test to be sure id like them black. Once it starts going to shit i will be doing them properly with paint. I only like it cause it can be so easily removed if you decide you dont like it.

+1 to peeling it all off.

Idk man, I appreciate the pics of the cars to try to change my opinion, I just still think it looks cheap. I think dip serves a purpose for laying down a design to see if you like it. As a permanent mod? I don't like it at all.

Just out of curiosity, roughly how many cans of that dip stuff does it take to do a whole car like that? I've never seen that here in the UK! Stuff looks crazy man, feeling to try it on a small area of my 6! Can't knock it before i try it eh

well you can do it with about 20 cans but you can get plasti dip in gallons and thats what we use alot of the time to do whole cars with an earlex paint sprayer the 3500 series a gallons usually about 74 dollars but if you get the unthinned plasti dip you need to thin it down to be able to shoot it through the gun its about a ratio of 1 gallon dip 1 gallon thinner if your interested hit up youtube and look up the dipyourcar videos also if your interested in just 1 can its usually about 6-8 dollars you can find them at alot of your home inprovement stores if you would like more info we have alot of uk dippers at the dipyourcar forum and a huge amount of info on it if you just want to research it before you try it also remember if you do decide to try it use light coats for the first two coats about 50% transparency then some heavier coats till you have full coverage useually around 5 coats do it like i said if you want man hit me up on the forum and that goes for anybody else that just interested ask and you will get your answers to the questions you ask
