that is wrong. that only applies to the I4. the ebay pipes for the V6 are very likely to throw a code.

It all depends on the placement of the MAF. And Air straightners put you back at stock or less Hp in some ocassions which defeats the purpose of an intake. The V6 yeah i would buy a good name brand one. Thats a lot longer of a pipe than the i4. With all those bends, it would be a coupler nightmare. And look like crap.

It's not hard to make a custom intake if you vent the Valve cover line to the intake. It's still easy. Get an ebay 2.75" MAF housing. Some pipe and a filter. Throw a couple couplers in and your are set.
