If you wanted more horsepower out of your car, is a performance chip a good option? I wondering if it could damage your engine or not.

I have a 2007 Mazda 6 I4 2.3L.

Also I have heard that a performance chip also gives you better mileage, but I'm not so sure.

If anyone has a performance chip, is it worth it? or should I pass?

So, what do you suggest to get a little more horsepower plus a little better gas mileage?

Upgrade to a CAI(cpe), you'll probably get +1mpg. Maybe optimize your throttlebody?

horsepower and Gas mileage don't usually go hand in hand, but all I can suggest is an CAI or SRI .It'll give you a little ponies, not something that'll throw you back in your seat, but hey its a start. enjoy!!

http://www.performancechipsdirect.com/Mazda/6-4Dr/

Im actually reading more about the performance chip thats actually becoming the new thing for cars and very easy to install. I haven't heard anything negative from it besides which sellers are legit that sell the correct product compared to fake performance chips. There is a webside above that if anyone wants to check out to get more info on. I just want to get more detail on someone that already has one and find out how it really works. Please let me know
