when i stop my car and turn off the engine my fan stays on for 10sec-1min sometimes its just a low constant and sometimes it will go high then go low then go high....any ideas on what could be wrong?

there's a recall on the fan control. not sure if that's it, but you may want to get it fixed for free.

It's definately got to be the fan control module. It has gone out on me twice. Just take it to the dealer and I bet you they'll know in a heart beat what it is when you describe it to them.

i thought it might be that fan recall but i couldnt find it on here. ill probably stop at mazda tomorow an tell them, hopefully the dealership down here isnt to picky about me having an intake and exhaust

There have been two different Special Service Programs (SSP) pertaining to the fan control module. The first one (SSP 60)was issued in September 2004 for the model years 2003-2004; the second (SSP 71) was issued in April 2007 for model years 2003-2006. According to Mazda the original recall may not have fully corrected the problem, thus the second recall. You can call Mazda's Customer Assistance Center at (800) 222-5500, option #4 regarding this problem. Hope this helps.
