Hey I Have just installed an Injen CAI and The CEL came on. What can I do to overide or eliminate the Check Engine Light?I have heard about resetting the codes, but not sure how to do that or the process involved? Looking for the cheapest options available without getting rid of the Injen Intake, I bought it used and it did not come with the heat shield, could this be an issue with the CEL, any help is greatly appreciated.

did you dissconect the battery so that the ecu resets it take about 30s or more and also did you leave the green wiring harness plugged up that was conected to the stock air box? now if you want to clear the CEL go to autozone and they will check and clear it for free.

if you need more help feel free to ask 24/6 out

The injen will throw a CEL regardless of the splash shield. there is a cp-e fix for it, but it costs 250. I lived with the CEL while I had my injen, kinda wished I never got rid of it. willing to sell yours?

if your looking no CEL, The AEM/Mazdaspeed intake have a much reduced chance of CEL

Autozone will only check codes not take them off since it's apparently illegal (according to my local autozone). A scangauge from therpmstore can get rid that CEL or checking the code making sure its the CAI and disconnect battery to reset it.

if you have a v6, then you will get a CEL, if you have a inline-4 then its probably a cause of something else like did you take out the green thing from your stock intake box and connect it again or did you reconnect everything properly? If you have a v6, its probably the usual lean-fuel mixture CEL by injen. Only way to fix it with a V6 is buy the CPE air-fuel management for mazda6 v6

The world won't end today for it is already tomorrow in Australia.

Hi I did all of the above, I took it to my mechanic yesterday and he reset th code I believe it was a P0174 O2 sensor, the check engine light came off but came back later on that day??

Code = P0174 Fuel trim system (LH) too lean ON 2 Fuel

that is normal for running the injen intake. to eliminate it you must either:
1.Go stock
2. Buy and install this

the cp-e injen fix corrects air/fuel ratios, which is the cause for your check engine light
