So my car went in for the HPFP TSB and the tech calls me up and says oh I have good news! the car is fixed! we found the problem! it was your spark plugs! I'm like really? I just replaced them about 2 weeks ago...

He says oh really? I wasn't aware of that! what kind did you use?
NGK Iridiums
really!? hmm the tech said they were shorted out!
Uh I dunno about that, the car felt better with those spark plugs than before although the stutter was still there but not as bad!

So he is going to talk to the tech and look at the plugs and call me back. I don't understand why they try to find excuses when there is a TSB about the damn part! So my car has been there for 3 days and all they did was change the plugs... so now they threw away my $40

I mean if the plugs were really shorted out it would've thrown a code right?

I assume u took it to modern mazda? that sucks, I was hoping they were a decent dealer. God CT sucks for dealerships. Id likely have to take my car to one in LI to get work done on it if I ever need it.

yeah modern mazda... they are usually good but this time they really fucked up... I will be going there to look at those plugs.. I mean for Christ's sake if the plugs were bad there would be bad misfires, the car would feel really crappy, CEL, the whole thing...

I've never had major warranty work, but Colonial Mazda (Danbury) seems to have a decent service dept.

I used to hate mine up in Hartford (Liberty Mazda) but I have had a much better experience with them. I called MazdaUSA and I think that had something to do with it. And I only deal with 1 mechanic and 1 of the managers so it makes it a lot simpler. The woman Nancy is a major fucking bitch.

Yep.. You are the one who hooked me up w/ Pete over there. I need to bring mine soon for service and stuff... I wonder if I should change my car back to stock (with the exception of the coilovers... Too much work)
