I have searched the entire Mazda 6 Models / Trim forum but have yet to find this question posted so forgive me if I overlooked it.

I own a 2008 Mazda 6 i Sport. It is a manual five speed.

I know on some of the other trim levels the cup holders have a cover. The i Sport edition does not have this feature.

Assuming I can find this part, is it possible to interchange my uncovered cup holders with the covered cup holders from another trim level?

Assistance or advice is appreciated.

Yep the cup holder section can be changed. I changed mine to the covered cup holders from a 05.

Only the 2003-2005 models and the Mazdaspeed models have a cover on the cupholder. The 2003-2005 models do not have the silver trim on the edges. If you want to completely match, get the Mazdaspeed cupholder. It's more expensive than the 2003-2005 one, though.
