Has anyone noticed a rattle coming from the front center air vent?
Is getting a little annoying, It's appreciate if anyone has a fix, If not, hope we can pin point it and come up with some fix.

Thanks.

Move the vent slats around. Does anything feel loose? It could be loose wiring vibrating against the ducting. Have you added anything to the wiring int hat area?

Might not be the same rattle, but I think the trim piece overhanging the center display is the source. If I push on it a bit, it stops rattling.

Nothing is added to that area.

It's a very low noise, I couldn't hear it once volume is up to about 20.
The problem is that in comes up with every little bump I bump into.

You might want to get in behind the stereo (search for instructions) and see if anything is loose. I know there is at lease one ECU secured to a metal dash brace with zip ties right next to/behind the stereo. Try shaking everything (not too hard) and tighten up any loose zip ties etc.

I spoke to someone on another forum who needed disassembly help for the same issue.

It turned out to be something where the display was rattling and it was under warranty. Cars are too expensive (and that farking CD player scratches too easily) bring it to the dealer and ask them to look into it.

Hope that helps.

Hi I actually have the same issue with my 2010. It's more of a buzz, but pushing on the display housing seems to silence it. I know this thread is a little old but could you point to the forum where you offered another owner assistance? Thanks

Dealer had to replace the center vent on my 2009 6 GT due to rattling.
