Hey everyone, I just got a 09 6i Touring last night. I know there's next to nothing out for it yet, but I have a question about the rear Mazda6 logo. Does anyone know if it uses posts or if it's just glued onto the body? Because I'd like to take it off, I like the "clean" look.

thanks

Well um...

Did you notice that the Mazda emblem sits in a raised section that spans the width of the license plate alcove? It's sort of recessed in an oval shaped hole.
So, even if you remove the emblem, you'll just have an empty oval above your license plate.
But, if you feel like removing the piece the emblem sits in, there are 4 nuts accessible from the inside of the trunk lid. 2 on each side with a clip between each one. of course, this would also delete the request switch and you'll have to fill holes.

He was not taking about the Mazda flying M badge, but the badge that says "Mazda6." I'm guessing it is 3M double sided tape.

I don't know about the "mazda" portion, but the "6" is definitely just affixed with adhesive.

If it's anything like the first generation 6, it's just adhesive and can easily be removed. I'd just pull it off and if there's a hole, stick it back on.

Did you try lifting up the trim and see you you can tell with a look?

Someone PLEASE make us some sort of black-chrome mod(or emblems)! Black chrome and led sidemarkers would transform the black 2nd gens for cheap
