Does anyone have pictures of the Mazda rubber floor mats? They're cheaper than the weathertech mats that I like but want to see what other people think of them.
Any pics and opinions of them?

I don't have pics, but I've got a set of them for my 1st-gen that I use for the winter months. They're pretty good at keeping the snow/salt/sand from getting on the regular carpeting. They look good as well, and fit perfectly.

A couple things: I bought mine a few years ago, and from what I've gathered, the all-weather mats have downgraded in quality since then, since I've heard people having problems with them wearing down and cracking, although my set (and others bought before mine) haven't had these issues. The other thing is that they may have changed the quality and/or materials with the 2nd-gen makeover, so I'd guess you'd be a "guinea pig" of sorts if you get a set...

Here is a picture of my rubber Mazda floor mats. All the little oval cups hold any water or snow that you may track into the car.
I haven't cleaned it yet so i can't comment on ease of washing.

The 1st-gen has the same design, and they're a little labor-intensive to clean. I usually hose them off at the wash-it-yourself car wash a few times, but I really have to scrub them down with a brush to remove all the built-up dirt/salt in the crevices before removing them for the spring/summer.

I bought mine in the beginning of Feb and I have noticed no issues with cracking or wearing through and these suckers get some use. I hope they continue down this track.

The dealer threw a set in with my my car. I've had them on my previous Mazdas and they work well for the money. The versions for the 6 actually appear to cover more carpet area.

One thing to be aware of is that you should not layer the rubbers mats over the floor mats. Doing so will create too much flex under the rubber mat and they will crack over time- especially in teh area where your heals rest. I had this happen to me twice. Both times Mazda replaced them under warranty until they realized that I had my carpeted floor mats under them. So rubber floor mats should only be placed on bare carpet.

Also, without the rubber mats hooked to the floor in front of the seat, they can slide forward and possibly bunch up behind the brake pedal.
...or stacking mats could cause the accelerator to get hooked under the mats.
