SEMA doesn't start until tomorrow, but we were able to obtain access to the show during setup and we captured these shots at the Mazdaspeed booth!

PPG must of had some bad batches of paint they needed to get rid of. The accent green is ugly and the multicolor is scary.

Well, they actually look better in person than they do in the pictures. I'll explain why. On the one with the green accents, the camera doesn't properly capture the metallic content of the paint, which gives it a nice texture against the gloss black. Not that a different color wouldn't have looked better, but I'm just saying that it's not quite as bad as it looks in the picture. As for the one that appears to be multicolor, they actually used a chameleon paint, so it changes color as you walk around it. The camera doesn't really do it justice. I'll try to capture some video of them tomorrow to see if that helps.

I worked at PPG for a few years and my Brother still does. I was in a development laboratory the whole time working on those kinds of paint. I understand what you are saying about the paint quality and depth. My comment was strictly based on color choices they used. Trust me, I've seen better batches get tossed out than what they used on those cars.
