If Mazda was really going after Honda and Nissan. Mazda should launch a 2 door version of its Flagship sedan. IMO.

Don't think so. This would be in a different class than the MX-5 and the Quad door RX-8 coupe which both cars at the moment really are not selling huge numbers.

The first gen Solara's were sexy and fun... my mom had the manual v6 SLE edition, and I really loved the car (part of the reason I like the i6 was because of the similarity in taillights and some other similiarities in the two cars)

BUT

the new ones are absolutely hideous and make me throw up in my mouth a little bit when I see them on the road...especially the softtops

I feel like that would be the only way to do it, since the coupe would have to be smaller, they would just use the smaller of the two cars and would be the easiest to mod for a coupe
