Its an Fm modulator. My boyfriend installed these a lot when he worked at best buy and explained it to me that it has a program that cuts of power to the stock antenna when you turn it on an sends out its own signal to the radio. It works for a ton of cars due to the wiring adapters and extra stuff it comes with. I will be getting one for a 2005 mercury Milan and 2003 Volvo s60. He hooked it up to my stock radio in my 2004 6s. So far it works really well. It does not hook up an control the iPod from the radio like aftermarket ones do, so the aux cable has to be used to play an iPod. There us deffinitly a balance to volume settings but once you find it I feel it sounds great. I also play Pandora off my phone which sounds great as well. hey i just read your post on my thread "2004 Mazda 6 Sport 6 CD Bose" if you don't mind can you explain the ISimple IS32 a bit more, does this work with any car? and how is the sound quality? can you get me the amazon link so i can purchase them? lol i searched it my self and theres a few of them
