I am running 42 for a few reasons:
  • Better MPG
  • Car rolls better
  • I enjoy the handling more with a stiffer tire

Any uneven surface creates uneven stress and weak points in the cut. A hacksaw or bandsaw (which is basically an electoral hacksaw) does just that.

If you plan to do this, use a high speed cutting tool, or have an exhaust shop cut for you.
