Honestly trying not to think about that. A part of me died when that car did. I never wanted to see another one go since they're rare as they are.

Yea insurance co. Wouldn't sell me back the car. Believe me I tried. They said anything 9 years or newer in Illinois is illegal to sell back to the owner after a total... Wish I still was able to get my parts and maybe help some people on the forum with stock parts.

I'm in the burbs, midlothian to be exact. Just north of Tinley park. The guy got 3 tickets and was arrested. He had no insurance so my insurance company is going to go after him. They said they usually don't get anything out of these people, which unfortunately means I'm out my $500 deductible...

What a nice ending to a crappy story. I keep visiting here to see if anyone bought my car I traded in, but haven't found it here or for sale on autotrader. The dealership always makes money on these trade ins, and it's usually a lot. Never accept their first offer, they'll always bump it up. I'm sure you guys knew that though.
