Yeah, sorry guys, didn't really have much time to de-mod as this came up quickly, but I don't think I would have pulled much off anyway as it wouldn't have been worth the effort.
Thanks for the link to the bumperplugs, I've looked at them earlier this week, I'm just trying to figure out what's a lesser evil at this point, paying nearly $60 for plugs, or just sucking it up and putting on a front plate. It is "technically" required in Wisconsin. |

My car's from Jersey, but I live in DE, so the dealer plate had to go. My friend bought his Genesis in WI, so he got them when he took the plate off, too. He's the one that convinced me about them.

Very nice. I posted about the GS a few years ago before they came out. Someone was wondering what they should get next after the MS6. At the time they were talking AWD and over 300HP. Probably warranty issues or competing with other GM products axed that. Still sounds like a nice car, congrats.

The Regal GS is a great luxury performance car. When they first teased us about this, I thought it was going to be AWD. The Opel version is AWD, Buick removed it cause i was just too heavy. I really wish they kept it AWD. Nice car, keep us posted...
edit: The V6 Twin Turbo was AWD, guess they didn't think the I4 could handle it... The wagon looks sick though...

I like the Opel too..
Though my Europe favorites are the Ka and Twingo. Ford and Renault, respectively I got to drive the twingo on the autobahn and thought I would die.

Yeah, all wheel drive is the only thing really lacking on this car after a few weeks with it. Low speed corners are the biggest issues with putting the power down. Higher speed sweepers I was very impressed though how well it cornered even while on the power. It's a pig of a car already though, so I can only imagine how much heavier it would be with the extra drive train weight.
Looks like they have flashes out for the car too that provide pretty decent bumps in power/torque and are much cheaper than the AP. The community is fairly small, but they have a pretty good forum if maybe slightly less traveled than this one. Got the windows tinted and partially debadged the trunk. I got out this weekend and gave her the first full wash/wax. Here are a few additional pics. |
