That's the general consensus. But I have to disagree. The 88 duro trans mount definitely added more than the 88 duro passenger mount...

I don't disagree with you. I never installed the 88 transmission mount...only the 70 transmission mount. The 70 transmission mount does not add much NVH. The 88 passenger mount adds a large amount of NVH and per your experience it sounds like the 88 transmission mount is just as bad.

Anybody know the reasoning to "70 durometer bushings are NOT recommended for the speed 6 transmission mount!" on AWR's webstore? Just curious

Well, AWR is "racing" oriented, and in that case they recommend using higher durometers. However, vendors like ProtegeGarage do recommend them for "Street" applications.

I was wondering the same thing so I called AWR and was told by Tony that they were having problems with the 70 durometer bushing tearing a few years ago when these were originally released to the market. They added an additional metal washer on the end of the bushing and haven't had any issues since. The 70 durometer transmission mount is fine for street use. I've had mine for 2 years without any problems.

Even with the 70 duro's the NVH is just unbearable. You guys are forgetting, I also did the BSD mod...
