Cool... be sure to tune wgdc and boost, as it will behave very differently than the stock turbo.

I was thinking 1/2 WGD and tune from there per someones helpful instructions and staying 20psi and tapering to 18.5.

I disagree. If he doesn't tune there will be a difference and it could be bad. AFAIK the wastegate is different, the turbo responds differently and I'm pretty sure wastegate duty cycle needs to be re-adjusted.

I will add notes and share any experience but i dont have a good camera so pics may be scarce. I'll try and take a few though.

Looking at 11.4 AFR's, bumping down timing a tad until i get the boost dialed in and boost target of 20 across the board since it's my DD, Joe said it was ok..

If your following wisdom of Forzda1 you should be golden.

As for the math, folks need to remember that 15 psi on a S3 -vs- 15psi on a K04 are two radically different amounts of air, and the loads and fuel will be changing accordingly. It's a must tune situation.

Given that, i know it's loads more volume but as long as my MAF has a good cal than i should be ok right? I may do it again to make sure but LTFT's were +/- 4 for the most part. I'm planning on doing a good bit of easy driving and monitoring before i get into it.

Given that your not changing the size of the straw, just how much air your sucking through the straw, you will likely not be to bad on the MAF Cal. That said, I tend to believe any changes to breathing require corrections. I'm still on the K04, so I don't have practical knowledge.

Nevertheless, all you know about tuning is still good, you will just need to follow technique, not specific numbers.
- 0 out the "add boost" part of WG Dynamics, so it can still pull boost, but not add boost. Then you still get the safety, but nothing is "faking" your ability to reach desired targets
- 0 out your WGDC and see what boost levels you get on spring only. It is soooo much safer to build up to target than the other way around.
- Be sure you've increased your load targets, even tho your boost tuning.
- be sure you've upped your HPFP target pressures.
- You're already talking about starting with a safe rich AFR, and leaning it out some after boost is set & behaving, so you're already on that
- Keep an eye on your injector duty cycles.

And a million other details, but this is something to think on. Again, if you default to Joe's tuning skills you ought to be fairly safe. Just be sure you understand what you're changing and ASK if it seems odd. Ask him directly, ask here, doesn't matter, just be responsible for your baby!
