1. Pull the front bumper ends (wheel arch) outward to disengage from the bumper slider. CAUTION: If only one side of the front bumper is disengaged from the bumper slider and the bumper falls, it could be damaged. When disengaging the front bumper from the slider, secure the bumper so that it does not fall.
2. Remove the front bumper from the body. Front Bumper Installation Note 1. Spread the front bumper ends (wheel arches) apart. 2. Attach the front bumper to the body. 3. Press the front bumper connecting area into the body to engage with the bumper slider.

Hi there. I am messing up with my bumper covers too. Were you able to overcome your problem? I also do have some problems on the control switch.

It helps if you have someone give you a hand after ALL the screws are removed. You have to unplug two lights on each side of the bumper, but the you need to pull the bump off a bit to get your hands in there. If you have someone to help you, they can reach in on the other side, and remove those bulbs at the same time. You can have anyone help you with that, and it takes 2 seconds. Otherwise you'll have one side of the bumper off, and there's a good chance it can fall off alltogether as the other side isn't attached to anything. People take them off by themselves all the time, so maybe someone can chime in on the safest way to do the last part solo. Also, be careful and take it off from the center so one side doesn't tip and hit the ground. I also put a thick blanket on the ground so it doesn't get scuffed up.
The only part that can be a real pita is the screws in the wheel well. You have to gently unscrew the plastic screws (on the black ones, there's two or three on each side, I forget and too lazy to look at pic above). Anyways, unscrew them.. they only unscrew half-way as they expand on the other side of the screw. Now, I've read directions that say to use a phillips head screwdriver and gently spin it and it should come out. Sometimes that works NP, and sometimes you'll get hung up on one for a long time esp the first time you're doing it. I just hold the plastic screw out with one hand, and use a flat head behind the at the base of the plastic thing that the screw, well screws into. That is, behind the little lip. Then I just force it out. Just another method in case the "rolling a phillips" thing doesn't work. Also, don't freak if you break one... you can buy them for mad cheap at the dealership, and the bumper is attached with tons of screws, so if one is missing from the wheel well, it doensn't matter... it's not going anywhere.
