I am looking to buy a set of wheels for my 06 ms6. It seems that the selection is slim. However, when I pull up wheels for RX-8, there are tons. What gives? Are they not the same wheel/ I would like to find a two-tone set of wheels (black and silver) My car is LPM. I am trying to stay away from doing a black wheel with a silver lip. I prefer a pattern that has a silver face but black on the sides, if that makes sense....something like volvo is doing (except they use silver lined with gunmetal).

So, does anyone have any suggestions, and can I shop RX8 wheels freely knowing that they are exactly the same as the ms6 factory wheels?

the Rx8s are different size, but the bolt pattern is the same.
IIRC they are 8 inch wide (sorry dont know offset).

Okay, I found Konig makes several wheels I like...although they are all for RX8s. Some are 7.5 inch, others are 8inch. I am ignorant when it comes to various wheel/tire combonations. So what can I get that will still look okay? I want to stick with factory sizes instead of going to 225/45 if possible?

If you want to stick with the stock 215/45 tire size, a 7.5 inch wheel still works fine. Technically the 215/45 will fit on an 8 inch wheel too, but I wouldn't recommend it.

gotcha, thanks. Just found out that if I was to go with 8" then 225/45 wont throw my speed off by too much. so that's an option still.
thanks again.

245/40 is perfect for our speedo.
with some 8" wheels? mmmmmm

And go to that wheel/tire thread dane pointed you to.. all the answers are in there.
If not - look at the sticky. There are more threads on wheels/tires.

rx8 has better clearances than the ms6, which is why there are more selections suitable for the rx8.
our problem is clearing the brakes, suspension, fenders etc...
check out how little room you have around these item with the stockers.
You can greatly increase the number of selections by rolling your rear fenders which will help with the lower ofset rims too.

Do you think a 7.5 or rim with 225/45 /45offset will need to have the fenders rolled? (stock ride height)

It's not a problem for me. I have 225/45's and the RPM sport springs. No clearance issues. My wheels might be 48 offset though.
