Ok got my AP today and we started the tunning process. after we did what we were going to do for the day I went home. When I got almost home Check Engine light came on. But when scanned with the AP it said "No Codes Found" which is really weird. The codes we turned off with the AP software was anything for O2 sensor stuff and for the EGR system since I blocked off the EGR and didn't want to see the light anymore. But the light came on anyways but with no codes being found?
Here is my guess at it. Light came on because of the EGR system and there must have been some partnering piece to the codes that we didn't turn off so the light came on. But we couldn't find any codes because we had turned them off. But the issue still is, why was the light on. So I put the OEM Tune back in, drove the car til the light came back on. It was for the EGR System, P0401 and when scanned with the AP this time it found the code like it was suppose to. I put the Tuned file back into the car but haven't driven it enough to get a check engine light. Anyone else experience this type of thing and have a fix? P.S. I had to drive 40 miles to his house to get the AP and start tunning, when I got there I could smell tranny fluid. Popped the hood and the vent valve by the shift linkage had puked! Any reason why this would happen? Cars tranny fluid has not been serviced for a while so I don't think it was over serviced or this would have happened long time ago. Anyone else have this one happen too? If so what caused it Thats it everyone, thanks!

the AP only clears the code not the light. they are working on it.
my buddy who had tranny problems had the same problem with the fluid coming out of the pressure relief valve

well he originally lost 2nd gear and then because they never fixed it, it just got worse. it stills works but i think he avoids second as much as possible.

Took car into dealer last week, they couldn't figure out what caused it, so they ordered a new breather valve. They checked the trans fluid level and it was good, not over serviced. Dealership also open up a case with Mazda Headquarters.
Well today I went for a long drive into town up on the highway and when I got to my destination I could smell tranny fluid again! So I checked it out and sure as shit there was more fluid puddled up on top of the trans but this time it was worse! There was a trail of fluid all down the underside of the car and by time I went to leave where I was at there was little puddles all allong the ground on the underside of my car. Called dealership and car is getting dropped off monday! They need to figure this out! I could understand this happening if I beat on the car but I wasn't! Was on highway with cruise control set at 70 MPH, why 70? Because Phoenix has speed camera's all over the highway so I just set the cruise control 5 MPH over the limit and stay that way. Camera's are set to take pictures of anyone doing 10 MPH over or faster. It was a 40 min drive to my destination. I don't think it's coming out of the breather either, I think it's actually coming out of the shift linkage arm that comes out of the trans right next to it. I lifted up the boot that is around it and found fluid in there too, so if it was the breather there shouldn't be any fluid in there. Shouldn't be any fluid in either one of those spots actually but there is! Tranmission isn't hanging up or being difficult to shift into any gears, no noises either. I'm stumped on this one! Only thing I've noticed is some clunking felt in the steering wheel when starting out in first but it's not a drastic clunk. Also makes same type of clunking when turning slow over speed bumps or uneven surfaces. What sucks is Mazda Headquarters never heard of this happening and no one here has had it happen either. I wonder if the fluid needs to be replaced, wonder if it has lost it properties and needs replacing. Or dealer should just throw new trans in and send mine off to get inspected for what is causing it.

Went to drive off in the car and after starting it I could hear some racket coming from the passenger side tire well. Got out to investigate, sounded like a loose pully, so I go back inside the dealer and the tech comes out. He is standing there and says I don't hear anything. I was like are you kidding! He says well it's under warrenty so if something breaks your covered! I was like I don't care if it has a warrenty or not! It wasn't making this sound earlier, find what it is! after 5 min. of him telling he can't hear anything I started getting pissed! Finally my service person comes over and tells the guy to take it into the shop and try to figure it out.
He comes out later and says I got my stethascope out and started listening to stuff. Admits that after he took the wheel off and cover off he could hear the sound better. He found that the tension pulling was the culprit of the noise! So I left in the same loaner car I had earlier that day cuz they didn't have the pully on hand. They are getting the pully from another dealer 2morrow. As for the trans stuff, since headquarters doesn't even know what is causing it they want me to drive it slow for the time being to see if it is leaking at normal loads or only under high RPM's so they can trouble shoot from there. What I don't understand is if it is spitting shit out all over the trans it doesn't matter if it is low or high RPM's it shouldn't be doing it period! Pull the damn transmission out tear it apart find the problem and in the mean time put a new trans in my car already! I don't want to be Mazda's guinee pig!
