I was reading another localized forum and came across a couple of guys that installed this downpipe from Protuninglab. Quote from poster OCD "the piece is basically a Cp-e knockoff with the added feature of a v-band clamp. It was much easier to install than the Cp-e, and everything lined up perfect. The flanges were warped a bit, but the v-band snugged everything down just right. Id say its a good piece for the price."

I have a question which I don't think is addressed in other DP posts, but if it please excuse the query...
What are the Pros / Cons of a V-Band clamp pipe (ATP,Protuning) vs a stock type pipe flange (CPE, Corksport) ? Is the clamp liable to fail due to the exhaust heat? I have an idea but am no turbo guru.

Pro is ease of install. So simple a caveman could do it as the expression goes. There is no downpipe that comes close to it. I'm not sure if there is a con to one. V band definitely won't leak or fail.
