Mazda 6 2015 wind road noise

Anybody know if there was anything done different between the 14 and 15 Mazda 6's addressing the "excessive" wind noise that show up on a lot of postings?

Thanks,

The late-year 14s and all 15s have the wind noise issues fully resolved. The 14 I demoed a few months ago had the issue (early production 14). My new 15 has 0 wind noise problem and people with late-production 14s also report it as having been fixed.

There is an existing post of a member with a 2015 that said his car is quieter and the door seals were redesigned--look different--- than the 2014.

This is great news as the previous reviews I have read all complained about the road noise.

That is great news, anyone dare take a chance of what date the 14's would have been changed, how late in the year and where do i look for the build date, in the door jam? The reason i ask is critical, the dealer i have been buying Mazda's from for years has a 2014 Touring manual w/o tech, sliver metallic. I know they have had it since at least early November 2013, it hasn't been driven since i test drove it in December. Now that the weather is finally getting nice here in the Mid Atlantic i plan on buying a new 6 in the next couple of weeks.

The answer is if its a 2015, it has the new seals, if its a 2014 it probably does not.

No matter the date, I'd test drive it to be sure. The first 14 I test drove a few weeks ago was very noisy... so much so that I had written off the car as I shopped for others. Luckily I came back to try the 15s and bought one.

I have a 2014 bought in June/July and I can say I have slight wind noise but I really don't notice it. I'm guessing I'm just enjoying the heck out of driving it so much so that I'm not even paying attention to the noise. Or maybe I'm just lucky.

i took my 2014 M6 GT to the dealer this week about a body creek issue i addressed in a previous thread. they also told me about the way the side mirrors are positioned on the body of the door causes extra wind noise than the other models, as well as being more aerodynamic for the car and better fuel econ.

idk how much i buy that . but seem viable . doesnt seem to bad to me though. i love the ride
