When considering how different most production cars are from their concept, the 3g Mazda6 stayed incredibly close to its pre-production model. I think it's a much more aggressive look for the 6, but it still maintains some of the sophisticated details about the 2g. I say hats off to Mazda on the new 6. Now they need to offer diesel, wagon, hatch, and/or Speed models!

For giggles I went online to build one...sad to see the V6 option isn't offered on the build, and manual trans is only offered on the base model (for some reason, spec shows the mid-grade can get it but I can't build it?).
The initial video listed a diesel option, don't see that yet, but THAT will be the hot ticket when it hits! I personally loved the new model. The base model even looks decent this time round...both the 1st and 2nd gens look dumpy when they're stripped of their swoops. Throw on some better wheels/some flare and it's back to it's purdy self. This car will only get better. |

![]() Argument...Done! I wish it looked closer to the concept, as well but it's very close. The best looking mid sized sedan in its class by far. Clean and sleek, IMHO. Last edited by Monkee; 04-03-2013 at 09:05 AM. |

The Shinari was sick (just look at those heads and tails), but when it comes down to production and final cost, that may have been a whole lot more than this 6.

I have to disagree with you. The new 6 looks great in my opinion. Concept cars and the actual production model never look the same and that's just how it is. It looks like a sportier car and I think that's what Mazda intended it to be. And it looks nothing like the Camry. It looks even better if you ask me. Also Motor Trend even praises the 6 in the styling
