So decided to take the 6 out for a drive as the snow had melted, Anyways after driving for about 10 mins I smelt burning oil through the vents, so I stopped and opened the hood and saw smoke from the burning oil at the front of the engine, So I took it back home Anyone have any ideas? Maybe valve cover gasket? Its a 3.0 V6

Where was the oil coming from? If it was from the top end, than your head gasket (on whatever bank of cylinders) could be bad.

Could be a pan gasket then the oil is burning. Mine occasionally (once or twice a month) will get a minor leak and then it doesn't do it for a while.
