We have been discussing moving the forum software over to vBulletin for some time now, and AF now has some techs freed up to throw at the task and would like the member's opinions on whether we should make the switch. This forum, after all, is here for you to use and enjoy and we want to give you what you want.

Changes:
- The garage, as it currently is, will disappear. There is just no way to port that info over properly to a new forum software. There will be a similar feature set up if we switch over, but you'll have to re-enter your info. We will give you ample warning to gather your info/pictures to save on your computer.
- Forum updates will be much easier for AF to implement, not to mention faster. The majority of their sites run vBulletin, so they are very familiar with it. This is definitely a good thing.
- More as we figure them out...

As of right now, we aren't clear if the transition is 100% smooth, sometimes things happen like all users needing to reset their passwords on their first login, but such things are usually a minor inconvenience compared to the long term stability we would gain.

I think it would be a good move as long as all the posts and logins don't get screwed up.

The primary reasons I stopped frequently visiting this site was due to the lack of organization, required login EVERY TIME, and the adwords.

Just my $0.02

I agree 100% even though I don't have a Mazda anymore.

Adwords? What adwords? Also, the required login thing and other bugs of the site will be gone if we upgrade. The site will be a lot more secure as well.

Who has to login everytime? I sure dont. It sounds like the only downfall is that the garage will disappear which I dont care about.

Those annoying underlined words that pop up a balloon when you mouse over them. They may have been removed now, I don't know, like I said, I haven't been here as frequently.

I used to stay logged in all the time, but it seems if I don't visit for a day or two, or visit from another IP, I have to login again.
