Thumbs up

So I finally reached 90k. Only took 5 years.

So I plan to take my 6 for the 90k service.

Should that cover everything I need to do or is there more to it?

Haven't even checked yet. But from the dealer, I know it's easily a couple hundred bucks.

I take it that our timing belts don't need to be replaced?

Considering that we have a timing chain, and not a belt...

Take a look at the things listed in your owners manual, or check for it online at mazdausa.com. Chances are you can do most of the things listed yourself, and save a few $$$$s.

My dealer charges $500 for this service, a total rip-off. I'd find a good private garage and save your paperwork.

90k in 5 years? Nice. My car's just over 3 and I'm at 71k already lol

So does the timing chain ever need to be replaced?

According the owners manual, only thing they recommend at 90k is oil change.

Anything else you guys recommend I do?

I've asked this question also http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?show...6118&hl=90k
I got some good suggestions from our fellow 6'ers there. Thanks to karlt10 BTW.

I used NGK Iridium spark plugs, it's a PITA to replace the three back plugs at first but you'll figure it out.
Replace the PCV valve while you're there.
Penzoil Platinum to clean out my engine.
I used seafoam on my vacuum line and gas tank.
Sprayed silicone lubricant on the suspension joints and door hinges.
you might want to drain refill your tranny.

Anywho have fun dude, I know I did....
