It saddens me to say that about two weeks ago, the fabric at the back edge of my mazda 6 has started to come down. Its not like the typical bubble where its usually in the center. It is at the entire back edge and has stopped about 3 inches in and is being restricted by the 4 or so plastic 'plugs' that are in the ceiling.

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? Can i use a spray mount? Is there a kit available? Do you recommend i take it to a professional? Money is tight, so i was hoping for a do it yourself answer.

Thanks all.

search this topic and you will get tons of responses.

Anyways i just bought some headliner spray from advanced auto and it did the charm. People are gonna tell you to replace the headliner, but like you, money is tight and honestly if you do it right, you cant tell that it is spray glued back

Another headliner falling... I'm shocked mine hasn't yet. Maybe it was just the older 6 with this issue?

I'm a fan of double sided sticky tape, although, the headliner spray sounds a bit less ghetto.

I had the exact same problem with my 6. I tried glueing it back up but it fell down again so I just said forget it. I expect headliner problems with a 1980s GM product as this was practically emblematic of their quality control back then, but I definitely do not expect it from Mazda. I had other interior issues with my 6, most notably my hands wore holes down to the metal, through the leather wrapping, on both the steering wheel and the gear-shift knob. With quality like that who needs a warranty, lol.

That's what I asked in another topic about the headliner falling.

I never smoked in my car, it's at 71,000 miles almost but again it's only 3 years old (I commute 60 miles a day) so it could be an age thing.

Also, the cloth interiors of the 2003-05 models was noticeably cheaper looking and feeling than the 2006+ models.

Never smoked in my car, funny thing is, it happend maybe 3 month after warranty was up, and my dealer said Nope, to bad, so sad.. Ive owened 2 mazda's in the past and never had a headliner fall down.. I do live in florida and its a black car, maybe the extra heat had something to do with it,but i doubt it, i think its just cheap materials
