Default Totally Pimping out the 6

How much money do you think I'd need to do everything I could to the engine in my MZ 6? I'm just going to save all the money I get from working to totally pimp my car out in college because right now.. I'm still dependent and my parents pay for my insurance and yeah they don't approve to much of me doing stuff to my car so I'm just going to wait until I pay for the insurance. I'll probably do this in like 2-3 years, right now I'm going to try and convince them to let me do the basic stuff... neons, dvd player.. hmm perhaps a new hood/bumper.

Well hello Soujiro and welcome to the club. Before others start flaming on you I will just say I would just save up the cash while you are still with your parents and in college. Go slow at upgrading your car because it will become a money pit.

The way you phrase the question, it sounds like you don't have a very clear idea of what you want to do to your engine. Shoot, you don't even indicate whether you have the 4-banger or the V6 (assuming you're in North America... Please put your location in your Profile).

This isn't a flame, just a request for more information so somebody can give you a more meaningful answer than "tens of thousands of dollars or more." So, what level of pimpage do you envision? A bling-bling chrome valve cover and yellow plug wires, or dropping in a V8 and converting to RWD? "Everything you could do" is limited only by one's imagination and willingness to burn money.

lol... listen to everyone. If you start customizing your car it quickly becomes a money pit. I've owned mine for a whopping 3 months and I already have spent clocse to $3k on parts for it with another $1-2k scheduled by year end.

Mazda_Gremlyn Then why did I just see a VW Beetle Baja with a new custom engine on that show a few days ago. (I could be wrong because I try not to watch that show due to the sheer stupidity of some of their ideas) The same one where they put a LCD in the DOOR so you can open the door to watch tv!!! :huh talk about the dumbest mod I ever saw
