Question Remove rear bumper/tail lights from 2016 iGT

So on Thanksgiving I tried to make my car share the same volume of space with a car parked behind a driveway (i.e. i hit it backing out of a driveway) . Needless to say it didn't work and now I have a crunched rear bumper. I tried to remove it to use a heat gun or hot water and push the crunch out but got stuck at the taillights. I can easily remove the 3 x 10mm screws near the wiring harnesses that hold it , but it looks like there is a screw on the side of the car/taillight that I can't figure out how to remove.

How do you remove the taillight? Does the lens come off to access that side screw?

Also, the quote from Caliber Collision is $1050 to replace/paint the bumper but it looks like I can get a pre-painted bumper from MBI Auto for $282 shipped. Anybody had experience with them?

Thanks,
AK

Thank you very much for this! And I might actually get the hitch too... If there isn't others out.

Looks like this video may be the solution to my roadblock. It's a CX-5, but it looks like a similar tail light design.

I think what I see as a bolt on the inside is the actually the bolt for the pin the front of the assembly clips to.

He also has one on 1st Gen Mazda 6 bumper removal which is probably mostly applicable to the 3rd Gen.

I'll try again this weekend.
