LED Fog Lamp Install Complete (Pics)

I absolutely hate the stock lighting and really love LED's. The stock fog lights didn't match the color of the headlights and with my OCD it drove me nuts.

Now most of you know LED headlight and fog bulbs just don't produce the necessary coverage. Also LED's can't compete with HID brightness so most of the time they are just for show.

I found these 144 lumens / 6000k with a magnifier on the tip to spread the lights wider. Honestly I didn't think it would work but just look at the night picture attached. You'll notice the reflection on the ground is the fogs and the coverage is very wide.

I just received the LED interior kit consisting of 13 pieces. Has dome, visor, license plate, doors, etc. I may have the reverse LED's in my garage so all of this will be done tomorrow.

I'll throw the before and after pics as I used Meguiars new clay bar system, it came out awesome.

If the pictures are at least fairly accurate, they came out really well and nice job on the paint clean-up!

Slick... I've been considering a morimoto optic change on my 1st gen. I feel like I should do LED to get to current technology, but I'm a bit concerned that the technology is still being developed.

Nice job with the clay bar. I've done two cars now with a clay bar and I'm always amazed at the incredibly smooth surface left behind. I kept throwing towels at it to watch them slide as if frictionless across the smooth surface!

Looks great and thanks for sharing. Can you elaborate on what you did?
You already had the stock Mazda OEM fog lights?
Converted them to LED using those bulbs?
What parts did you use?

I'm interested in getting very good fog lights to supplement the low beams, so appreciate your information.

I hated black bezels in my Mazda6 so I bought $50 lights and $45 switch and in 30 min - voila, my car looks much better. Do I really care about the light itself - no

I have the Morimotos on my 07 Yukon and they are more than adequate as they are a engineered unit. I cant wait to order then for my 14GT. They were worth well the $200 for my Yukon, especially before I did the retrofit.
