So I called GRUPPE-S and they gave me a high qoute (and im a returning customer) and said it would take 10 something weeks to get them.
Called wheel wharehouse and they gave me a much better price, but still 60-90 days.
I called vivid racing and got about the same quote as wheel warehouse and they also had to order them so 60-90 days.
Anyone know where else I could try? I dont think Im going to find what im looking for as everyone has to go through Mackin Industries...but figured Id ask.
JBalla1036
More than likely you will have to wait at least 60 days whoever you get them from. The only way you would be able to get them now is if you find someone selling them or if you happen to catch a company that happens to have a few sets left..
FICHSTIX
I'm about 6 week out from my purchase through grouppe-s, I searched the net for a month to see if anyone was selling a set couldn't find anything, Lexus, BMW, Subbies, Mini Cooper's, Audi and EVO.

aviator79
FUCK GROUPPE-S
I was going to buy from them again even after the BS I had to deal with last time. Quick sum up of story:
Ordered 57F from them told them I wanted them gunmnetal like the advan RS gunmetal, they send me grey/green rims 4 months later. SO im pissed and get them to send me lables to ship them back and tell them again I want ADVAN gunbetla color. They send me basically black really dark 'gunmetal' rims that have divits in them and are blotchy, but whatever its been 6 months at this point and summer is almost over and Ive already curbed my car because I was driving on my winter tires still. And the car is still fucked up from that BTW so Ive got to get it abck to the autobody again. So I put them on, but the lugs they sent me dont fit so I do the whole run around again and finally get new lugs, but guess what those dont fit either.
Again me being an idiot was thinking of still being a costomer to them so I went to get a quote on my rims and they quote me $2450 or something plus shipping. Im like well im a returning customer and he basically says 'So what"
So Im trying to find these in stock somewhere else as it was going to be 60-90 days, but no luck.
So moral of the story is contact kevin@drivelinestore.com as he seems to be able to get the best prices.
Now what rims/size am I getting?
You wouldnt beleive me if I told you.

Please tell me you are trying for 9.5s.....?

I know you and I had gone back and forth a couple times around the Rota GB that was a major flop and then around the Gruppe-S thing too... I'd believe you if you told me.
FICHSTIX
Sorry to hear I sure hope I don't have any problem

52.gif 9.5 ??

Advan RS 18x10 et 35 gunmetal GTR FACE

I will need to gain .6+ on my fneders which I will do, plus with the SBC ball joints and some aggresive alignment work I will still be able to get the fronts and rears to tuck. It will take a lot of work but with a roller and a hydraulic pusher as well, but I should have no problem getting another inch as I am actually flaring or pulling the fenders at this point. The pusher should allow me to push out the weld points a bit so that where the plastic bumpers join the fenders will go out as well. Those that have rolled may understand what I am talking about. Fronts have never even been rolled yet also. Call me crazy, but look here:

http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp?i...2=57%20Optimise

Shows how with the tire being the same width as the rim and only .4" wider (10mm) than the 245 it is not as extreem as it sounds. The tire just wont bulge out at all so watch those curbs!

wow.... that is AWESOME!

Definitely keep us posted on how that works out. I'd love to go to something a little wider than the 8.5/+45. 9.5 and +35 will definitely give us plenty more options.
cherryspeed
Well i am doig something similar, but I thought I was crazy for going 19x8.5...good luck with the 9's. It will look great if it works.
Got mine form vivid, I have had nothing but great experiences with them.
Now it's just a waiting game banghead.gif banghead.gif

Been a long day at work! 32.gif

Edit:
Oh nevermind, got it.
(310) 937-8382

They dont carry any in stock (no one seems to have what im looking for) and were $69 more than the price I got from driveline plus $80 shipping so almost $150 more.

Or course I cant get threw to driveline now so WTF... I want to order now. AS is im going to have to get 2- 245 40 18 PS2s to use on my what I hoped to be winter rims until I get them. I am not driving on these tires all summer again!
pray4mojo
sorry about your experience at gruppe-s but definately let us know how that wheel setup goes. theres gonna be some major tire stretching!

Still waiting...only placed the order two weeks ago (thanks Uncle sam:).
The wait is gonna kill me...lol. It will be worth it cause i should drop something like 8-10 pounds per corner.
aviator79
Im trying to figure out if I want to get SBC (super bright chrome). I think that is what the STI is. THE SBC is actually the pollished wheel with a tinted clear coat.... tying to find more pics. I guess it looks dark in the shadows and bright in the light.
I think this is it:

and this:
http://forums.evolutionm.net/attachment.ph...mp;d=1207400902
I really like the way the STI looks but cant figure it that is GM or?
hmmm.....

I think these are GM, but they dont look too dark.
aviator79
just ordered the gunmetal ones. Hope they fit...
ksource
Let us know how they look. My wheel plans were side tracked and you have a Red speed so I'd love to see these.
wiLLywiLL
Those are F-ING HOT!@

aviator79
If I could only get them to make it with the 67.1 bore, but more importantly It would be sick to get it with a 40 offset. I asked, but doubt it will happen unless they have to make them anyways which is unlikely. The 40 offset would been all I need is 0.4" = CAKE!

I know because it is a GTR face the offset needs to be lower but just looking at my little wheel comparitor and putting in that a 9" GTR has an offset of 29 and the 10" GTR w/ offset of 35 I see the 10" rim lip is 6mm longer than the 9". So I just figured I would ask if they could do a 40 offset as that would still keep the mouting flange the same thickness, however it may have be thicker to compensate for the strength needed by the wider rim. Or im wrong and the GTR face is more concave on the 10".

ANd you may say, your backspave is now going to be 14 mm (0.6'') deeper and your Rim Lip is going to be 24 mm (0.9'') wider, but I trust that the clearance results at the bottom weel lead me to it some how still working:
Clearance:
Suspension: The same.
Fenders: Package will stick out 10 mm (0.4'') farther. Acceptable for most cars.
Wheelwells :Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 4 mm. Almost no difference

With the ordered 35 offset:
Clearance:
Suspension: 100% clear (leaves even more room than OEM)
Fenders: Package will stick out 15 mm (0.6'') farther. Acceptable for most cars.
Wheelwells: Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 4 mm. Almost no difference

And on another note as you may have seen in my other post I think I am going to go with the Sumitomo HTR Z III 255/40/18's
Ugly but seems to be a great tire.
cherryspeed
Aren't you comparing your current set up to the 10" wide rims? That might explain why the calculator says its acceptable.
Start with the stock specs and things change very dramatically.
And wow, 255 width. Of course with 10 inch wide rims that is about as narrow as you would want to go.
Good luck with all this, it might help to start shopping for a magic wand...lol.
Ah well, if they don't fit I am sure you could find a Subbie or Evo guy to snatch them up and not loose much money...props for trying.
I wonder whose will arrive first?

Any of you guys have pics yet with the rims?
aviator79
No I bought some rims to hold me over. My rims are going to be a pain to fit and who knows how long its going to take me to get them in there. Im going to have to get an inch out of the fenders, and right now my roller is being rented. mdogg wants to rent it also but after that I will start working on gaining some room in there, but it sort of pointless until I get rims. I have pics of my current rims. It looks neet. Ill post them up when I get to it. Sort of busy as I just bought a 18' whaler...guess I wont be towing this with my car... need to find a trailer as I got a hitch onto the montero. Well thats sums up my day. How are you doing.
ksource
Waiting for my car to get back from the body shop for my rear bumper repair. Was hoping they would get me a new one, but they decided to fix it. After that I need to send it in for passenger side damage and front bumper damage. That one is going to cost me alot since it was my fault...at least after all is said and done it will be normal again. All this crap will delay my PNP purchase for my Standback, but hopefully when it gets back I can get the damn DP in.

On another note I saw the Advan RS on a Honda Fit today...they looked mighty sexy, not so sure about the car choice though.

10 weeks? That's nothing! I waited over 7 months for my advans!

http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=73639

mazdaspeedguy waited 10 months!

For what it's worth, I was also told "2 - 3 month wait" when ordering the wheels. Hope you have better luck.

Yeah I've heard the horror stories and I hope I get a little luckier.
I think a lot of the problem is that most dealers do not have their own shipping channels. They combine their shipments with that of other companies who then all share the same container. A lot of the delay is waiting for the container to fill up and ship.
I bought from Vivid not only because of price, but they have a container that leaves once a month with all their JDM shipments. They called earlier this week and said they have confirmation the rims are in the container and on the water... should arrive in 3-4 weeks.
We shall see.
aviator79
I assumed all Advan rims come thru Mackin Industries.
Target:STi
you shoulda saved up and got the forged magnesium volks from vivid -=]

when did you order? its been only 5 weeks for me. I still got a lot of work to do to make them fit though... So are you using a spacer obvioulsy. I guess a 70mm ? to 67.1... I wish I could have had s custom bore made.
FICHSTIX
I ordered April 9th and yeah I'll use a spacer. You do have a lot of work to make yours fit.
aviator79
Well I just bought:

So let the fun begin.... haha

What tires. Im still up in the air but I have time and I need to have tirless rims for a while first to do all my work.

I love PS2's but cant afford them new. I actually think that getting some Advan Sports would be sweet, but again too much new. So then there has been the thought of the new summitomas that have been getting great reviews, but I feel these may be great tires, but that with the cars weight and the AWD aspect they will not perform as well as I want. Now for most out there on here the would likely be great as they are Max Perf summer compared to most running a/s or Ultra perf summer.
So then I am also looking at the NEW Vredestein Sessanta Tires but they are new and I can only fined limited reviews.

What kind of lugs are those cherryspeed? Wheels looks amazing, how much do they weigh?

Also do you know anything about the RS? 52.gif Do you know how they are made? How reliable are Advan wheels as far as bending and cracking go? I don't wanna spend all this money on these rims and have them bend on me. They are my new favorite rim.
