DISCLAIMER: Just because one member did not experience rubbing with a specific wheel/tire combo, that doesn't mean that you won't either. Individual results may vary based on the type of driving you do and your suspension setup.

************************************************************

OK, so the idea here is for everyone that has changed their wheels or tires, etc to post up what they have, include pictures if you like. This way if anyone has questions about what will fit and what won't, they can see what everyone else has done and get ideas.

This is not a thread for discussion, so please post only if you are putting up information. Any posts not strictly on topic for this thread will be deleted. Questions about a member's setup should go through PM to that member. Also please note that if you do not post information with the wheel, the post will be deleted. Include the name/brand, size, and offset.

If you're not sure about one of the specs for the wheel, you can try looking at http://www.wheelspecs.com

I'll start with an example using the stock wheel setups: (info taken from Doc Roadster)

Just got my wheels on today:

G-Racing Kuma (Hyper Black)
48 18x7.5 Offset 225/40/18

Rubbing: Looks like they will probably rub when I get my lower job done (really close).

Pics soon...

My rims:

Kosei K1 TS 17"s
Offset: +50

My Tires:
Tires: Yokohama AVS dB 2
Size: 225/45/ZR17

Rubbing: They do not rub at all, however, the tires to overlap with the rear fender. I think if I put enough weight in the back they would rub, even with the high offset and only 225 width.

If not already mentioned.
Mazda 6GT (Canadian model) = 6s
No drop
RX-8 wheels with 225/45/18 Dunlop Sport 8090

Normal load with one driver, no rubbing even with everyday driving and a bit of weekend sporty driving.

With about 130kg = 260lbs (2 relatively heavy passengers in the back) load, car would rub with everyday driving and turning corner at very slow speed.

Conclusion, you will need to roll fender. I would be doing that as soon as I can get the tool to do it. There is no question about that since I do carry passengers regularly.

Hope that helps.

Rubbed like crazy. Rolled fender with a rubber hammer(Mallet. I think thats what its called). Worked like a charm.. I also used a heat gun and accidentally burned the rug under one of the wheel wells so now it hits that but no damage to tire. LOL 5.gif
