So I did a bit of winter tire research and decided the Dunlops M3 are where it's at. Checked Craigslist and came across this deal. It really seems too good to be true!!

I have a complete set of great condition Dunlop Wintersport SP M3 tires for sale. They have plenty of tread left and will last you a few winters!

$300

I want to jump all over this but am very skeptic. Could they be defective tires? I've had some pretty horrid tire drama already this year (snow crash, two blowouts in one day, etc) and don't want to be a sucker for this if it's some kind of scam.

I guess I'll go down and inspect the hell out of them before finalizing the transaction. Any advice on what to look for to make sure these tires are legit?

Thanks....

I have the same tires in 225/50/17, and I bought them in close to new condition off craigslist mounted on wheels for $275. I sold the wheels for $200. The run flat (SP) version is pretty burly, and these are good quality tires to begin with. If you're concerned about buying used, take them to a shop for inspection. Most reputable shops won't mount damaged tires.

Price dropped to $200. Go get them. I got mine used when I upgraded from the 225 M3s to a set of 245 M3s in Brand new condition, got them for around $380. I dont think I woudl want RF tires, but I would take them at that price.

getting them tonight!!! Guy is definitely legit. The ad says $200 but he is craigslist challenged and can't figure out hwo to change it to his realasking price of $300. either way, NO BRAINER. THANKS CRAIG!!!!

hey guys, when is a good time to put these on? does the temperature need to be at consistent level? i'm leaning towards getting them on ASAP because i feel a shite new england winter coming on QUICK. thanks!

Get them on now. Where are you? I had to drive up to Granby to get my tires put on cause I didnt trust anyone to not fuck up my new rims. Of caurse I never got them on so the winters are staying on until next year...
Ive run the M3s in the summer and they are like driving on marshmellows, but not horrible. Now they will be great.

I live near Worcester. There's a shop in town called Martin's on Park Ave, and he's really fair with mounting/balancing pricing. Can't wait to get these puppies on!

I found a brand new M3, then after it was put on, I discovered that what I bought from this joker were M2s!!! Tread doesn't seem that much different. But fahhhhhhhhhhk. Quite a saga.....

jeez, you didnt notice? There is an M2 on ebay. Non MS6 right? could always just buy one new one.

I might do that, then I'll have two new M3s in the front and two used M2s in the back. But is it really that big of a difference?

In all honesty yeah, I should have looked closer and inspected everything, but by the time I got down to Vernon it was dark, and snowing, just wanted to get home. And then I took my car into the tire place first thing this morning. Blargh. I'm sure I could have found an M2 around here for less than $200 too.........the bottom line is that the tire gods must be enjoying this saga immensely. And they want me to sell this car.

Yeah I have an MS6.....
aviator79
Well I would sell them and move on as for an MS6 you need all the same tires. Thinking of that I have 2 different sets of PS2s I should sell as its not smart to do that on a MS6. Anyone on here with M6 these would be great for, but I just dont know how smart it is to run different sets on the MS6. If the overall circumfrence of each tire is close thou it should be fine.
