I am trying something different here. Helo825 black with polished lip. 42mm offset, 17 x 7.5. Will be running stock tires, Cooper CS4s 215/50R17s; they are spec'd to go on 7.5" wide wheels. Car is stock height with no aftermarket springs.

The reason I like these wheels are: the logo and center cap is clean, the lip is very clean (doesn't step down like most) and the spoke pattern is cool. I spent a lot of time searching these out, and I think I will like these a lot.

Anyone else have them?

Here is a before picture-

Your gonna need a fender roll with that. With that setup it'll stick out 18mm/0.7" further than stock.

Actually, they will stick out almost an inch farther than stock (24.35mm).

How do you figure? If he's using stock tire size the only thing that matters is the offset since he will be just "filling" out the tire more with the 7.5" wide.

I have the same rims except mine are 18" on 215/45/18 tires. fenders are not rolled and they have never rubbed.

Stock wheels are 7" wide with a 55mm offset right? 55mm = 2.165". The wheels mounting flanges are 2.165" positive from the centerline of the wheel. On a 7" wheel, centerline is 3.5" which puts the mounting flange 2.165"+ from that which means there is 1.3" of wheel when measuring from the mounting flange to the outer lip.

The new wheels are 7.5" wide with a 42 mm offset. 42mm = 1.65". the wheels mounting flange is 1.65" positive from the centerline of the wheel. On a 7.5" wheel, centerline is 3.75" which puts the mounting flange 1.65"+ from that which means there is 2.1" of wheel when measuring from the mounting flange to the outer lip.

There will be ~.8" of extra wheel sticking out.

Stock offset is +60. MS6 is +55.

Stock wheel is 60mm offset, so just add 5mm (0.197") more to your calculation and you have it correct - and so did I - just barely less than 1" farther out than stock.

Do those stick out of the fenders at all? I don't want to have probs with state inspections.

no they don't stick out. not shure about the rim size but the tire size is the same that comes on the grand touring model. If you are going with stock tire size on those rims it won't stick out and I don't think you will have issues with inspection.

Not sure if you saw my other thread... Company sent me chromies instead of the black wheels. Now I have to wait for the new set to arrive.

Well, I couldn't come to any agreeable terms with the wheel warehouse I ordered from... They lied to me about the availability of the rims. However, something happened while I was waiting for the black wheels. I decided to get silver wheels instead and decided on Falken Torque 5s. I want something a little more subtle or I fear my car will look overdone.

These are what I am getting now-

I want the wheel to look more subtle, but I want the offset and the polished lip to give the car a more aggressive look. These are 17x7s with 40mm offset. They will bring the wheel out about .8" from stock and that should get the tire pretty even with the top of the fender which is what I want.

I still think those are going to look pretty darn nice on your car... can't wait to see the pics when you slap those shoes on!
