I just bought a wheel and tire package, everything fits but when I got two or more passenger my rear fender rubs on bumps and humps.
I am in the process of fabricating a fender roller and is almost done but a friend of mine told me there is something like a rubber insert that you put on the coil so that it can only go down so much on bumps and load therefore not letting the tire to hit the fender.
Have you guys used this if this actually is being sold in a local autozone or kragens?

Just looking for options.

Thanks

You must have rims with insufficient offset, I have the same size tires on 7.5" rims with a 48mm offset and am on Mazdaspeed springs. I have no rubbing issues.

Putting a spring rubber in won't eliminate the rubbing, at best it will make it happen less. It also turns that coil in your spring into a solid block and increases spring rate and ride harshness. A poor trade-off for still not solving the problem.

Since you already have the rims your only other recourse is what you're going to do eventually which is roll the rear fenders.

im lowered on tein s-techs, run 225/40/18, unrolled fenders, +48 offset, and i dont rub. whats your offset?
HighSpeed6
Looks like most the Evoke rims on eBay are 17x7 +40 offset.
seigfredm
offset is +42 17x7 rims and 225/45/17.
Rolled my fenders already and drove around with one adult and two kids I didn't feel any rubbing and when I measured it it looks like it's got enough clearance.
Thanks

yep, that's the problem. Anything less than 48 with lowering springs and you're probably going to have clearance issues.

If you've rolled the fenders already then you're good to go.

I didn't actually lowered my car, I left it as it is.
Anywho, it's all good now tho I had a tiny scrape on the tires.

the fender roller I fabricated worked like a charm.

Thanks

I was thinking about just using a baseball bat but was afraid it wont be smooth so I used my spare time in the shop to make one out of flat bars and fork lift roller, besides it gets boring in the graveyard sometimes and I gotta practice my welding. Did yours come out smooth? I think it would as long as you used a wooden bat.
