As the title says, how much torque does it need to properly secure the lug nuts if I was to follow Mazda specs?
Thinking about getting a torque wrench just to be safe, I don't want to break the rims or for it to fly out as I'm driving. 1.gif

Thanks

i can't remember the exact numbers. i think it's something like 65 to 80 ft/lbs. if you torque them down to around 75 ft/lbs you'll be good

Yep I use 76 lbs.

I torqued mine to 80 ft pounds.

shit i read on the sticky some where that the torque is 87 flt/lb.... I have aftermarket tuner lug nuts and one of the lug nut fell off last week.. Maybe this could be the reason. Next time i will remember to torque it to 80!!! or maybe 75..

HaHa...I went to the dealership the other day to have them check the torque on my lugnuts after my exhaust shop tightened them all for me.

140lbs+ FTW!

Go by what tireguy says...

And I torque to 85 lb/ft. Mazda says 65-87, so anywhere in that range is acceptable.
