This is an interest thread for a 2 inch round black or white shift knob with threaded brass insert. It will have the 10mmX1.25 threading for the manual transmission (I will make inserts for the auto transmission if there is enough interest). These can be installed on all Mazda cars with the 10mmX1.25 threading, like the Mazda6, Mazda3, Mazda5, RX-8, RX-7(S5 shifter) and the Miata. They will also fit some Nissan and Mitsubishi vehicles that have the same thread measurements.

They will be made out of Acetal copolymer which does not heat up as much/will cool down to the touch faster in the summer and will warm up faster in the winter than aluminum and steel shift knobs. These will have threaded brass inserts unlike most shifters that come with cheap nylon inserts secured by screws that wear out and get loose over time.

The weight will be some where around 107 grams.

I can make brass inserts for the ATX if there is enough interest.

I will also become a sponsor when the shift knobs are ready to produce

This in not my shift knob but it is a good example of what they will look like:
(these knobs pictured are also made out of Acetal Copolymer)

If you are interested just type you screen name and what color you want and I will make a list

Shoot me a PM for pricing

Here's more pics from the same company (that made the above knob) of the different shift knobs that they make exclusively for Subaru's that are also made out of Acetal Copolymer:
Would anyone be interested in have any of these made up? (my design would be a little different)

And here's a Nismo GT Titanium knob I like:
I'm currently building a slightly bigger one for myself out of aluminum, without the bolt on top.

price and weight would be nice! and do you have any examples of what the material (acetyl copolymer) will look like in it's finished state? Glossy? Matte? Smooth? Rough? etc.

I'm still looking for a place to buy the black balls from. I thought I found a good company to buy from but they only sell white balls.
