Wasn't ready to go do an immediate suspension swap though, so it was LGT for me. Was going to go for 2005 model with the insane 4.44 gears that really ripped to 60. |

In the article it said that from 0-100 in 14.5 and from 0-110 in 17.5, are they for real? I beg to differ. An entire 3 seconds? I do not know, but if I am at 100, and I take it to 110, it is not 3 seconds... Chime in if I am wrong as I have not timed it, but it doesn't seem like it. Atleast our speed6 got some good reviews.
Here is the info: C/D TEST RESULTS: Zero to 60 mph: 5.4 sec Zero to 100 mph: 14.5 sec Zero to 110 mph: 17.5 sec Street start, 5-60 mph: 6.9 sec Standing ¼-mile: 14.0 sec @ 99 mph Top speed (governor limited): 149 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 155 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.87 g |

Well, I'm really intrigued about Saturns ATX, as it outclassed the speed6, and the redline MTX. |

um.. well im not talking about 0-60 here. awd plays a large roll in the 0-60 times. but from a roll a 350z will pull nicely on a speed 6. along with the sky redline.

The LGT is probably quicker due to it having a 5 speed in lieu of a 6 speed. 2nd gear in the MS6 tops out at just over 56 MPH, which forces a shift to 3rd gear to reach 60. Thus a slower 0-60 time.

Here is the info: C/D TEST RESULTS: Zero to 60 mph: 5.4 sec Zero to 100 mph: 14.5 sec Zero to 110 mph: 17.5 sec Street start, 5-60 mph: 6.9 sec Standing ¼-mile: 14.0 sec @ 99 mph Top speed (governor limited): 149 mph Braking, 70-0 mph: 155 ft Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.87 g Sounds about right to me. Look at it this way, acceleration curves are asymptotic as you approach the vehicle's max speed. This is due largely to aerodynamic drag. That said, if you look at the time to get from 60 to 100, it's 9.1 seconds, or about 2 1/4 seconds per 10 miles per hour average. But, of course, the first 10 (60-70) go more quickly than the last 10 (90-100), so it shouldn't seem all that surprising that 100-110 takes 3 seconds. Personal Experience: Most mornings, on the way to work, I do a roll-on from about 50 in a sharp right hander to 110 before I have to brake for the next turn. I make it a point to 110 before braking just for emphasis. I can attest to the car getting through about 80 reasonably well. But after that, tiempo starts passing pretty slow and 110 seems to take forever. On the same stretch, my other vehicles max out as shown: F-350, about 90, but the braking part is pretty scary Focus, about 90 Diesel Jetta with lots of mods, just shy of 95 Of course, none of these vehicles went throgh the first turn above 40-45. |
