So it all started around 7:00p.m when a friend of mine called me asking if I wanted to go see A Wilhelm Scream (punk band) play tonight. After the 4 of us decided to go (in my car) we get to the show and start drinking, sense I'm the DD I only have one beer. Show ends and we all load up in my car, thats where the fun begins. I'm girlfriend who is sitting next to me decides to throw up with out any warning all over my passenger seat and floor, well lets just say I was beyond pissed. To make things better about 10 mins after that I get pulled over by the cops and questioned for 20 mins on the side of the road with 3 drunk people in my car, one covered in her own vomit. I guess the cop just felt sorry for me because he let me go, I was doing 25 over the speed limit.
I have now spent the last 4 hours ripping my seats out and detailing the interior of my car. FML! I'm going to bed now have 3 hours to sleep before I have to get to work. On a good note this is the first time I've taken seats out of a car.

My car was only 2 months old when my wife of 25 years did this as well. Seat, dashboard, door, floor, etc. Talk about pissed!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/69.gif) By far the closest we have been to a divorce. LOL
Hang in there. The smell does go away. In fact, I still have people tell me my car smells new after 5 years.... |

I think I've got rid of the smell, well I can't smell it anymore and no one mentions the lingering smell of vomit to me anymore.

Similar thing happened to me. Full car load, one guy had stepped in vomit and didn't know. The whoooole ride (over an hour) everyone was wondering who had shat their own pants because that is how bad it smelt. I kept adjusting the windows the whole drive to create an airflow that wouldn't involve me smelling it.
Best thing ever to clean it, washing machine powder mixed with warm water in a bucket. Scrub with a hard bristle brush then hose off and let drip dry. There was instantly no smell and it was over in a matter of 10 minutes. |
