Hmm...does that mean that the manual only available on the base 4 cylinder? That would suck.

no, i think (if I understand correctly) is that manual will still be available on iSV, iSport, and iTouring, the only i model thats losing the MTX is the iGT (big mistake, it appears mazda is trying to move away from it's zoom zoom, especially with no addition of a MTX on atleast an Stouring)

They made alot of the standards in the GT models optional now. I hope prices reflect that for 2010.

Any more info on the 2010? I am about ready to buy. I am wondering if I should wait? I have a PIN number for the S-Plan pricing, so it is pretty much no haggle.

2010 pricing? When will they be available? etc.

What a crock of poop. They should have LOST bose on the GT (make people pay for it) and add a sunroof . . . it'd spec up directly against the Accord EX-L . . . dumb dumb dumb.

*crosses his fingers, prays for a MS6 w/ AWD&6MT . . . and a raise so he can buy one*

I'm guessing the moonroof will be a separate option for at least the S GT, maybe even the Plus...

And yeah, I'm giving up on the MT with the V6 for 2010... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/69.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/59.gif)

For years, I wondered why so many cars came in V6 WITHOUT a manual transmission.

In hindsight, I wonder why they bother making 4Cyl A/Ts . . . . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

My only complaint about the I4 is that it loses that edgy part of the throttle when the A/C is on . . . considering I went from a CR-V (M/T) to this, it's nothing I can't handle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1.gif)

Still . . . that turbo they use in the CX-7 that doesn't need premium WOULD be a nice add-on to the GT i MT

Unfortunately, my supplier discount doesn't do S-plan pricing anymore. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/38.gif)

Damn . . . Glad I got my 6MT iGT when I did. Too bad that more car companies are not offering a MT in higher trim levels. Fusion, Altima, Passat . . . . can't get them with leather, NAVI, and a MT. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/6.gif)

Hmm guess I'm glad I also snagged a 2009 6i GT with the 6-speed... and in Kona blue which is apparently rather odd for a 6i GT. Love it!

Kona Blue?? That is unusual. I thought the 6MT iGT was only available in Black, Silver, Grey, or Red? (Black Interior only)

Yeah, the car is a really early production '09 that was used by MNAO. Has a few thousand miles, but we got a great deal on it. Even has the cool LED-lit door sill plates.

So is the shifter just like the 2010 Mazda3 shifter? I'd like to get a better shift knob on it, and I'm sure some good aftermarket stuff will come along for the 3.

Boy, I'm glad I got mine when I did too.

Smokestone with Beige interior, i-GranTouring with Manual Transmission.

It is the exact color combination I was looking for and I feel lucky to have found it.
There can't have been many of them made. Of course, from now on there won't
be any of them made. ( Smokestones, and Gran Touring with MTXs).

From what I can tell for Canada, the packages will be very similar to 2009:

The GT Inline4 gains Blind Spot Monitoring and the welcome foot lights on the mirrors as part of the luxury package
There seems to be some sort of "Audio Display Screen" as part of the luxury package. So if it is similar to the new CX-7 and Mazda3 it will be around 4" LCD.

Also - you can still get the manual with the inline 4 GT with luxury.

This is based on the 2010 Equipment Walk a dealer showed me.

Here are the new prices for the 2010 Mazda6. It looks like Mazda has lowered the prices about $800 from last year's. Trying to spark some more sales and be more competitive with the Altimas, and Accords of the world.

2010: A new screen for the center console included with the technology package. However, with the navigation pkg, the screen remains the same 7" size and look as 2009.
